Children's Ministry

Fun, fellowship, spiritual growth, social development and building strong families are all important parts of the Children’s Ministry here at Calvary Baptist Church. Our volunteer staff of leaders is dedicated to providing a safe and happy environment in which your child can learn and grow. We believe the experiences that they have here in our Children’s Ministry are important building blocks for a relationship with Jesus Christ. Solid Biblical instruction during these foundational years is a key aspect of all that we do.  It is the mission of our Children’s Ministry to share the love and care of Jesus Christ in a meaningful and effective way to your child.

Children's Ministry Highlights

Partnering With Parents

Here at Calvary Baptist we understand the primary place for Biblical instruction is in the home (Deut. 6:7-9). We desire to partner with parents as they train their children in the truths of God’s Word. After families have made the decision to make Calvary their church home, it is expected that parents of our children join in this ministry and serve at least once a month in some aspect of our Children’s Ministry. Parents are asked to go through our volunteer screening and application process and are then placed on our volunteer schedule. The success and growth of our preschool ministry is dependent upon faithful, loving volunteers.

Sunday School

At Calvary we offer Sunday School for all ages and believe it is important to start teaching children at the earliest age about the foundations for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.

Security and Safety

Your child’s security and safety are very important to us. For this reason, we have implemented guidelines and practices with our volunteers and families to insure that your child is safe and properly cared for while here at Calvary. All of our volunteers go through an application and screening process before being approved to work with our children. As a parent you can be assured that your children are safe.

Joining our Children’s Ministry Team

After joining the Calvary family, some folks find that they want to be involved with our children's ministry. If you are interested in joining our children’s ministry as a volunteer, please contact us and we can start the process of helping you find a place to serve. All of our volunteers are asked to go through our volunteer screening and application process and then placed into service according to their gifts, talents and passions for children’s ministry.
